What is SQLWorks? » 25-Year History

Backed by over 25 years of success and dedicated support, Lineal's SQLWorks has benefitted from customer driven evolution to be a tried and tested success for many businesses throughout the UK. The origins of SQLWorks began on the Apple II in 1982, as a combined stock control and accounting application. These were the good old days where a typical database was stored on a 5 ¼" Floppy disk and companies had to make do with a 5MB file server! In the years that followed the technology has changed, 5TB file servers are not uncommon and SQLWorks has remained on top of the game.

Successive versions of SQLWorks have incorporated kitting modules, PR Lists for CRM, architectural modules and more. In 2005 Lineal ventured into a 5-Year development deal with Exeter University and our international partners to create a more flexible framework, allowing for Internet and mobile development, synchronised calendars and true customer focused deployment. Lineal continue to invest in new technologies as they become available, so when our clients ask about new features, we can deliver what they want quickly, and with confidence.
